With the FMA system, Nanomed has created a novel drug delivery platform that expands the number of drugs in many more therapeutic categories.

Nanomed focuses on those drugs for which our technology will provide clear benefits over the existing therapy methods and standards. Such benefits could be in the form of improved safety and compliance through

the use of a FMA technology, or through enhanced efficacy and reduced side effects achieved through controlled drug release.

Our initial products to be launched are in the areas of neuropathic pain management and diabetes management.

Pain management:

Our human clinical study demonstrates that FMAimproves pain score reduction by a factor of 7 and cut down onset time by 2/3, making it a superior therapeutic approach for topical neuropathic pain management. The neuropathic pain management market generated over $5 billion sales in 2005.

Diabetes management:

Nanomed is developing a FMA based system for delivery of insulin for patients depending on daily insulin injection. Approximately 40 to 50 million people with type 2 diabetes and 10 million people with type 1 diabetes worldwide require insulin therapy. The worldwide market for all forms of insulin was over $7 billion in 2005, and is projected to be over $11 billion by 2011.

FMA technology has proven its value in the human clinical trials. The products incorporated with FMA technology demonstrate superior advantages over current products in the market in terms of: consistent dosing, efficient drug delivery, small patch size, extended wear, comfort, and excellent adhesion. Nanomed's technology can give our partners' product significant benefits over traditional delivery methods and potentially extend patent protection of their existing product line.
